Poetic Inquiry as a Tool for Interrogating Mentoring Relationships in Teacher Preparation

In this article the authors, a Mathematics education professor and two English professors, describe how we used poetic inquiry in peer-led professional development workshops for field supervisors, who observe evaluate teacher candidates. Poetic was taken up to better understand our shared experiences of mentoring candidates deepen thinking about own pedagogical practices. The experience writing sharing these poems monthly highlighted commonalities values approaches allowed us reflect on identities they influence
